It is now time again to blog up; so here it is.
Haven’t been very productive with my summer goals except work but it’s all good. A lot of different things went on lately and I’d like to recap some of them.
Most important thing is that my eldest sister is now a Doctor. First Doctor in our family (but won’t be the last) – she is a Doctor of Dental Surgery… which just means that she is a dentist. She graduated with Distinction and she was wearing this funky looking graduation robe that was black except for 3 long purple patches on each of her arms. I also saw some undergraduate graduations, the Journalism and Mass Communications graduates at UNC – they were wearing the regular Carolina Blue robes – a bit tacky, I might add
Very proud of my sister, she has worked hard to get where she is today and she will be working on a more specific field this coming year. Good luck to her.
My older but not the eldest sister will become a Doctor next year… she will be a PharD (Doctor of Pharmacy) – her graduation will be in Chapel Hill 2004. We’ll be waiting for that. I’ll blog more about after the graduation since I don’t have much to say about that except we’re proud of her as well.
Hopefully, I can graduate from Tech the year after my second sister graduates; however – considering Tech, I am not sure but I will try to graduate at a normal 4-year undergraduate college term; which I think would be a great accomplishment for me hehe
Then who knows what I will do after that – either find a job, or go for my Masters – don’t know which yet but I am certain that I won’t need to go for a Doctorate in the Computer Engineering field, we shall see as time rolls along.
Saw two movies this past week: The Matrix: Reloaded and X2. I enjoyed both movies equally if not X2 more alone. There were parts of the sequel of The Matrix that just bored my eyes to droopiness but I was on the edge of my seat for the whole X2 movie. My problem with The Matrix: Reloaded is that they have made Neo into some sort of powerful entity that can not be touched and highly revered. He has become a Superman of the 21st Century but yet, he’s not wearing the red and blue superhero outfit; he is wearing pitch black leather with a trench coat. They did improve upon the cinematics of martial arts in that movie – I guess they finally made Keanu Reeves to do exactly what the choreographers wanted him to do and he did a great job with that.
I’m gonna go do something more productive now so IM me or email me.

Yes yes, I do apologize for the lack of updated blogs on this site… but frankly, there is nothing really to update on.
I have been working over time late into last weekend because 1) No internet access except crappy dialup until Thursday so couldn’t do any work 2) I was in Chapel Hill until Wednesday afternoon.
Anywho, took my dog to the vet last Friday because we decided that it was a good time to get his dental cleaning. He came back a bit groggy because he was under general anaesthesia during the procedure… vet told me that three of his teeth just fell out with just a bit of tugging. Buddy also had an annual check up the week prior… and with a blood test, we found out that Buddy is … ‘overweight’ in terms of… just being fat. So he’s been on a stricter diet from that point on.
So went to Chapel Hill last week – I didn’t do that much, I just went over there to chill with my sisters and also get screened for a dental exam that my sister will have to take soon. She will have to perform dental care stuff on people that she’s screened and qualified for the dental care examination. She’ll do exceptionally well- of course she will – I have no doubt
I also found out at Chapel Hill that I passed all my classes… some with flying colors and some others not so much although I was still thrilled to have passed the course (yes ladies and gentlemen, I have passes CS2130 and will not have to take any more frickin’ Computer ‘Kill all GT Students’ Science courses at Tech- WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOO). So screw my former backup major as a CS major- I’m keeping on with my CompE degree with EE as my backup although… at this point there’s really no real reason for me to switch to EE since they are the same majors with only 3-4 different classes… ah screw it, I’ll just stick to my CompE thing. I’ve wasted too much time with the PreReq’s building up to this point to quit now.
Work has been slow… especially because the network is rock solid now (they hired a new network engineer that spent about 3 days tweaking the network). The ping time to my new server increased slightly – but no bid deal, it’s at 39ms now going through the Level3 line. I’ve decided to name this server Spring. This is the first server that I will completely own to myself and I won’t have any restriction on running what and when and how etc. I named it spring because I like the names of the four seasons: Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter. Who knows where Summer, Autumn, and Winter are going to be placed – hopefully I can have them hosted in different data centers so I can make them all quadruply redundant or at least doubly redundant. If not, I’ll just run different stuff on each server. Let me know if you want to be hosted on Spring, it’s a rather high-spec server; definitely better than my desktop
I am also looking for a laptop- I was thinking of just getting one of those dell cheapo deals but then I think I might invest some more money into it and make it my primary computer while using my desktop as a backup. But then again, since I don’t really like laptops much – I’ll just invest little in it and use it for wireless purposes around the GT campus. By the way, they finally laid out the grass on the park that they made out of the old Hightower building – took them the whole year to do this… So, I am looking at Dell, HP, Toshiba, Vaio, and Sager brands. If you have any particular suggestions – do comment.
Anyhow – just a itty bitty update. No promise as to when I will update this next but hopefully soon.

Here I am, sitting in front of my computer and typing my last blog as a Sophomore at Georgia Tech.
So many little things and big things happened this year. I am not going to do a recap of this year as that would be too cliche of things.
I am sorta not looking forward to going home but also sorta am. It won’t be as stressful as being here during school times but I will somehow make my own stress. Biggest problem with that is that I usually keep things to myself at home because there is no one to talk to… there is no one to go outside and run around for a flat disc with… no jokes except my own dumb ones… shifting of the clouds but they will still linger over my head. I have been looking forward to this day since the first time I stepped my foot back onto this campus last August; dreading the quick shift of environments- needing to get accustomed to new things. Upcoming Fall will be so different; I guess I’ll manage… I always seem to do so, might be slow but I will eventually.
If only I could live this whole year over- yes, it would be torment all over again but that’s what I’d like to get changed, don’t you see?
I can say for sure and with support from a friend that I’ve made a dumb mistake. With this mistake, I can discoumt any other stupid things I have done this year. Everything else was just miniscule in my mind compared to this. Don’t really want to reminisce about this. Just typing this out so when I look back at this a couple weeks/months/years later, I can laugh at it realizing what the future had in it for me with a broad smile.
Have a good night. Have a good summer.
Comment if this thing doesn’t get updated during the summer.

I am so tired.
There’s just too much stuff to think about…
Most importantly, my prayers go out to Pater and her family for a long while.
Have a good night.
