On Saturday, during dinner – I randomly said that the star actress in Pirates of the Caribbeans, Keira Knightley looked very much like Natalie Portman from the recent episodes of Star Wars. It was one of those random things I thought about when I was eating. Anyways, until I looked it up, I thought that Elizabeth Swann character was played by Natalie Portman.
Jae agreed with me that he thought the same – however, some disagreed with me.
But did you know?
Keira Knightley played Sabé in Star Wars: Episode I (IMDb Link) who was the servant and also played the double for Natalie Portman as Queen Amidala.
The similarity between her and Natalie Portman, meant that during the filming of The Phantom Menace, their own mothers could not tell them apart once covered in makeup.
For those of you who said they didn’t look anything alike – watch Pirates of the Caribbeans and Star Wars: Episode I and see the resemblance. Just thought I’d share since there were some people who told me Portman and Knightley didn’t look anything a like.
