The weather today was cloudy and it had been raining basically all day long. The ground was wet as well as the patches of grass; the paths which everyone takes to head to class is extra muddy today and soon will turn into a patch of dirt when the Spring season rolls into the campus.
I was walking from class to West campus today. Feeling good because classes were done and over with and I could finally take a breather again. I look up at the sky to see the gloomy clouds then I finally see this huge tree glistening in the rain in front of me. It was sort of a shock for me to realize this tree, which has been there longer then I have… and I just realize its place in the world just then. I see this huge tree, standing in the rain, with strong roots planted in the ground. I wonder how far its roots reached from where it was. How beautiful was this tree that I have never noticed before?
By this time, my focus on this specific tree had lessened and I looked beyond it… even more trees in the background. It literally took my breath away and I felt a surge of encouragement that I haven’t felt in a long time. It felt like I was going on a trip to the mountains, and when you finally reach a place where you can look down… that exhilerating feeling when you see the other peaks of this giant stone mounted on the ground – this very miniscule glimpse into how big our world really is…
How/What/Who could have created such a beautiful thing that can take our breaths away? Such things in this world that inspires us all and encourages our souls! These are not just landscapes or unimportant elements of nature; these are symbols of love and care… the influence of God’s work in our environment and utimately in us all. God has put so much thought into this place; to make things work and to show his love.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
A surge of power rushed through me today; I thought I’d just share it and try spreading the inspiration of truth. God is so full of surprises.
Yea, surprise surprise… my last 2 paychecks (minimally) are late again. It’s okay, time to fire up another email, and wait. I’m too used to it anyways.
I’m so tired of b*tching about school. Yes, I admit it.. I b*tch about Tech; but almost everyone b*itches about Tech so I have no shame in doing so.
This past Friday was one of those days when I forgot all about the miseries of Tech and enjoyed time with friends. Went to Ted’s Montana Grill on Peachtree Rd. with about 8 friends and had dinner. This restaurant was special because they served Buffalo/Bison meat and I think it was the first time I had it. The burger I got was real good – nothing like a gourmet burger that is the size of my head. It was a good thing that I was hungry by the time we got there because I was able to finish about 85% of it. If I wasn’t that hungry at that time, I don’t think I would’ve been able to finish even half of it. Food was good, company was good, the discussions were rather interesting yet hilarious so it was good times all over again.
After dinner, went back to Scheibe and Dave’s place to ‘chill’. Had some drinks and we decided to watch a movie. We saw Identity starring John Cusack and Ray Liotta. I remember seeing movie previews when it was coming out and I thought it would be one of those stupid cheesy attempt at a horror flick. I was wrong. This suspense-filled thriller became a mystery… the ending was like a shot to the face: BOOM! You don’t know what hit you, just like that time when I watched Sixth Sense in the theatres… BOOM! Well, maybe if I paid attention to the very beginning, I would’ve been able to catch the mystery… it was a great movie and I want to watch it again, actually.
Saturday was a good day too, worked a lot during the day and night. Afterwards, I took a break and went to throw the frisbee at SAC fields. It turned into a fun 3-on-3 game. It was a close game too… heh.
Sunday was allright, I woke up real late because I planned to stay away all night to study for my test and quiz today… and am doing so. I’m just taking a break now. I studied for my DB test a bit more then I expected so I’m running a little short on time to study for my ECE quiz… but it’s no biggie, the subject isn’t THAT hard… not as hard as the last quiz :-/
All right, new day… I’m probably be napping in the afternoon sometime. Have a good day.
Okay, my sleeping schedule has been wacked out. No clue what caused it…
I sleep relatively early now, 11pm-12am (somewhere in there) and I wake up about four hours later (almost exactly) and I lay in bed with my eyes closed for couple of minutes. Finally realize that I’m no longer tired, get up… I go do whatever until class time or until I get sleepy. Take a short name (~2hours) and I’m good to go until around 11pm-12am time.
It’s weird to wake up at like 4am but the sleeping schedule itself is cool because I’m tired when I should be tired and not tired when I shouldn’t be tired. Know what I mean? :]
Anyways, I got a couple of morning classes and an afternoon class that is meeting online. I’ll need to go get a haircut sometime in between since my hair is a bit long now and long hair annoys me. I suppose I would be taking my 2hour nap around 1pm or something.
I can type Korean now without looking at the korean-character keyboard layout thing I printed out to do some of my korean homework.
한국말 할수있으세요?
