Dreams…
March 26th, 2004 | by john |Is it bad if I can’t remember my dreams?
I wake up with my alarms (note the plurality) and I think… “Wow, I just fell asleep, I thought.” There is no time when I sleep, it takes me forever fall asleep and I feel like I wake up instantly after my last blink before sleep.
Is it that I just don’t have dreams or I can’t remember them? It’s pretty bad if you don’t have any dreams when you sleep… it’s like I have no ambitions and no hopes but I DO have all of them and more.

Speaking as one who used to feel that my dreams where the most beatiful experiences I would or could ever have and that they gave me hope for the future and a sense of the most beatiful things that my mind could imagine and the deepest things my heart could desire as well as being so terrifing that I would do anything to keep myself from falling asleep, I have since come to veiw dreams as more of an escape from reality that I no longer want to indulge in. Most of the times dreams seem to come when we are at one mental extreme or the other in the sense that we either are full of extreme beauty or extreme pain, like soldiers after a war who cannot escape thier dreams at night. When we don’t dream I think it is either because we have reatched a point where we are too tired to care (probably where you are by the sound of if) or we are actually at peace with where we are. So at least by the way I am looking at it it’s not a bad thing at all not to be remebering your dreams. If your going to get technical we always dream but I am speaking from the stand point of when you actually remeber it. Probably should get more rest and then all those internal driving forces and ambitions will start to shine through into your dreams again =). Well thats just my opinion and two cents for the moment .
