Free Hosting
October 25th, 2004 | by john |It has come to my attention that many Georgia Tech organizations and students buy hosting for their web sites. I suppose personal prism accounts and cyberbuzz accounts do not meet their needs.
I am going to provide free web hosting for any GT-related people; this includes organizations, students, faculty, staff, and even alumni related to Georgia Tech. The hosting account will be provided with the following by default:
Domain Hosting
50 MB Web Space
5GB of Monthly Bandwidth
E-Mail Hosting (mail@yourdomain.com)
Subdomains (http://sub.yourdomain.com)
FTP Access
Perl/CGI/PHP Usage
2 MySQL Databases
FrontPage Extensions (if needed)
Cost: Nada! 
It will be hosted by the same server that is currently hosting this web site and according to my record, this server is pretty stable and has an uptime of 60 days (last time it was rebooted was because of a kernel recompile).
