Quick update.

Just a quick update on miscellaneous things since all I’ve been blogging about lately has only been relating to my fervor for Georgia Tech football.

  • I want Canon to release the next full-frame digital SLR.  The 50D looks nice but I want a full-frame now.
  • Oh… GT opening game day tomorrow… I am psyched!  GO TECH!  STING ‘EM!
  • Is it just me or is our Economy going down the drain.  Everyone is all happy because gas is under $4.00 per gallon.
  • I wanted to vote for Barack but the Democratic National Convention is making me doubt.  Who’s manning Congress while all the democrats are working on speeches?
  • The 2008 Olympics were awesome.  Usain and Michael are inhuman.
  • Don’t care if the Chinese gymnasts were underage, Nastia and Shawn still delivered against the wind.
  • Chinese divers have the ability to control water so it doesn’t splash.
  • South Korea is a baseball powerhouse.

Michael Phelps, why not more?

Monday, August 18th, 2008

It is absolutely amazing what Michael Phelps has done in Beijing over the past week. It’s a feat for someone to win a single gold medal at the Olympics; for one person to win eight is more… superhuman.  You don’t need an infrequent blogger like me to understate such an enormous feat but for the sake of “what now?” and just simply out of curiosity, I have a serious question that I’m hoping someone could answer.

Why just eight events?  I counted sixteen men’s swimming events.  With such talent, I would think Michael could have won more medals.  I’m just saying’.  :P
